Biography

Jian Tianming, PhD, Associate Chief Physician, focuses on oculoplastic surgery, orbital diseases, and ocular tumors. He has led 4 projects funded by the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission and at the hospital level, published multiple papers in Chinese Medical Association journals and SCI-indexed journals, participated in compiling the 3rd edition of the optometry textbook Eye Diseases and the medical monograph Practical Orbital Diseases, and participated in translating Staging and Grading of Ocular Malignant Tumors.

He trained at the Ophthalmology Training Base for Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Medicine of the National Health Commission. He specializes in navigation-assisted endoscopic endonasal orbital decompression and orbital fracture repair, as well as endoscopic surgery for sinonasal-orbital communicating lesions and various lacrimal duct diseases. He pursued further training in oculoplastic techniques at the Eye Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He specializes in surgical correction of severe upper eyelid ptosis; full-incision/three-point suture-embedding double-eyelid blepharoplasty; transconjunctival/transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty for eye bag correction; correction of entropion and ectropion; eyelid tumor excision; and botulinum toxin injection therapy.

Awards and Honors
Awarded the title of “Outstanding Teacher” by Tianjin Medical University Eye Hospital in 2018.

Research Achievements
Participated in and completed multiple national and municipal-level research projects.
Co-edited 2 publications by People's Medical Publishing House, including an ophthalmology textbook and an orbital disease monograph.
Participated in translating the 8th edition of the TNM Classification of Malignant Tumours published by the Union for International Cancer Control.
Published several SCI-indexed papers and papers in national core journals.
